You are 2 months old! You are such a peanut.

You have been giving us a run for our money since you were born. You have been super colicky like your brother was.  It sucks seeing you so miserable. Thankfully we got you on Similac Expert Care Alimentum and it seems to be helping. Your crying has decreased a lot.

You are smiling all the time and “talk” to us. Your eyes are so blue and pretty.

You were our earliest smiler and the one who has smiled the most at this age. It’s very sweet to watch since you have had a rough start. Thankfully colic usually only last about 3 months and we can tell you are getting a lot better.

You are 7 months old! You have been such an easy baby. You are still a total Daddy’s girl too. You give me little sweet smiles while Daddy gets huge smiles and giggles.

Bow Headband

You have started to really enjoy Ace. You think he is super funny and he you like when he tickles you.

You love your Sophia Giraffe and Jumperoo still.
You have been sleeping in your own room since March and you are a great sleeper. You have been having separation anxiety so we had a few nights of you getting upset when we walked away from your crib. We ended up patting your tummy and you were ok.

You have the sweetest personality. People always ask us if you have a voice because you are so quiet and content all the time. You rarely cry and will just sit and hang out. Everyone just loves you.
You are also sensitive to when your sister is crying. I noticed one time that when she cried you made a wimper noise as if you were sad for her. You have also cried when she has but not to get attention but as if you were upset she was upset. I have a feeling you are going to be a very caring, sweet, loving person growing up.

You still only have two teeth and aren’t crawling yet but you move yourself all around the floor to get what you want. No real words yet but you will make the “mama” sound randomly.
Miss Ashlyn, you are such an incredible little girl. We love you so much!!!

Mother’s Day Weekend: Photo Overload!

By on

Oh Heyyy! I hope everyone had an amazing Mother’s Day. Mine was awesome.
Actually my whole weekend was pretty awesome.

Saturday we woke up super early to do The Color Run in Ft. Lauderdale. It was our first 5K and it was so fun. I did it with my cousins and my younger cousins friends as well as Bran and Ace. We got there super late, like almost the last ones to start late.

If you are going to do a 5K this is the one to do. It just revolves around fun and who doesn’t love that?

My sister watched the girls so we were able to go home right after and shower off before picking them up. Let me tell you something, it is not easy getting off the color. We were stained in some spots and I had pink in my ears, even today.

We went to my sister’s house after and Bran and Ace went in the pool and I hung out pool side with the girls. It was too cold for me and them so I was cool with that.

Nothing too excited after that.
Sunday, Mother’s Day, we had the girls dedicated at church. Everly was the youngest baby so our Pastor held her and it was so cute, she didn’t even cry, which was a shocker since she likes to cry, ha!
 photo 10277553_10102771410867251_6558317985651570429_n_zps594c7092.jpg photo 1975279_10102771414599771_7465646127071878282_n_zps9da8288d.jpg
Both girls were so great the entire time. Church service was probably my favorite one yet. At the end our Pastor Pete’s daughter Sophie sang a Taylor Swift song for her Mom and I just cried the entire time. There is another Taylor Swift song that always reminded me of my Mom and so when I saw on the screen the name and who it was by it just made me think of her. This girl has the most beautiful voice too.
After church we got food to go from California Pizza Kitchen and headed home for the kids naps.

After that I was able to lay out in the backyard while Bran held Everly and the other two napped. So relaxing! After they all got up my sister came over and we met up with my cousins at Menchies and had Fro-yo.
We headed home and my sister and I went to Target and got some things. It was a pretty great Mother’s Day. The only way it could have been better is if my parents were there.
How was your Mother’s Day?

About Me | Ace | Ashlyn | everly | life

Who I am…

By on May 3, 2014

I saw Emily over at Live a Charmed Life do this and thought it was a cute idea.

I amBrenna.  A wife and stay at home mom to 3 beautiful children, blogger, and wanna be social worker.

I wantto be able to juggle being a Mom of 3 better. Sometimes I feel like I am missing out on things with my older two.

I havethe most incredible husband husband. He helps me so much with our children, cleans, cooks and can fix anything. I am so blessed.

I wish…I had a better milk supply for Everly. Breastfeeding has been a struggle.

I hatethat Everly has a sensitive stomach like Ace. You can tell when it bothers her and I just hate seeing her uncomfortable.

I fear…not living fully. I always want to embrace life and be positive and a good person. I am not always successful at it but I do try.

I hearsports on the TV, Ace talking to Branden and him scooting a chair.

I searchfor ways to up my milk supply, ha!

I wonder…what my kids will be when they get older, what kind of relationship they will all have and what kind of fun Branden and I will be getting into when we are empty nesters!

I regretsomethings about my Mom’s death. It’s too hard to explain but I tried my best to always be honest with her and I was there every day with her when she was in the hospital and dying but there is one regret I have about it all.

I loveBranden, Ace, Ashlyn, Everly, and our life together. I also love my family and friends. I really do have incredible relationships with people and they have become so much stronger since my parents passed away and having my girls.

I achefor one more day with each of my parents. Just to say a few more things to them.

I alwayslook forward to some alone time to clear my head and destress at the end of the day.

I usuallytake a bath to relax and read gossip magazines.

I am notthe best at being a housewife, I think my husband would be way better at it. Sure I am good with the kids be he takes the cake when it comes to household chores, keeping up with the outside and cooking.

I dancelike a true white girl but I love it.

I singlike a hot mess, especially when my husband is in the car and I turn on music he does not want to listen to.

I neverwant to have regrets with my children.

I sometimesdrive with the windows down, AC up, music way up and a little bit fast when I need to get out of the house alone.

I am not alwaysthe best Mom. I get overwhelmed, stressed and frustrated but I try my best.

I lose…my phone all.the.time. No one ever expects me to have it near me.

I am confuseda lot.

I needfor Everly to grow out of this colicky phase. It sucks and I hate seeing her miserable.

I shouldgo get some fro-yo with Ace tonight!
