Friday Favorites!

By on October 30, 2015

Who else is super stoked that tomorrow is Halloween? I can not wait to see the kids running around getting candy. This year is going to be so cute with the girls actually walking.

Everly and Valentina fighting over a car

I am not sure if I posted but Ace is going to be Captain America, Ashlyn is going to be Spiderman and Everly will be the Hulk. They girls are obsessed with their super hero hoodies. They put them on every night before bed when we play dress up. Probably my favorite thing ever.
If you need a little Halloween fun, watch this Ellen video. You will not be disappointed. I was laughing so hard.
So I am absolutely loving this travel mug. I really need a good one to take to work with me and this “But First, Coffee” one is ahhhmazing. Putting it on my Christmas List!
I also can not get enough of this faux fur color dress. I can totally see Everly wearing this. I am on the hunt for clothes for Christmas and this one just screamed Everly.
For Ashlyn I am loving this sparkle tulle dress. She has such a sweet little personality that I think this totally fits her. Since the dresses are the same color they’d totally go together but if I decide to mix it up a bit I love this pink sequin one.
I have no clue what I would put Ace in yet.
I am also loving this striped dress for myself. I am all about a comfy dress for work.
Anyway else starting to think about Christmas? I have been drooling over some delicious recipes on Pinterest. These melted snowman oreo balls are incredibly cute. I don’t know if I have the talent to pull them off though.
Those are pretty much all my Friday Favorites! Check out my Instagram for my Follow Friday post. I always love sharing my favorite instagram accounts with you all.
And don’t forget to enter my GIVEAWAYS I have going on.

Life Lately

By on October 25, 2015

Last weekend we celebrated Ashlyn’s birthday. We just had family over Saturday night and hung out on Sunday. We will be doing a joint party for the girls in January/February so we kept it low key.

We also have been hanging out with our new neighbors this past week. Ace and their kids love each other and they are such an awesome couple so it’s been nice.
Who is ready for Halloween? Branden has been decorating and I can’t wait to see the final result. He got really creative with my cousin make tombstones so it should look great!
If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you’ve probably seen this picture of Everly in her hulk sweater. She is hilarious in it. She kept scaring poor Ashlyn though. Halloween should be interesting with those two.
This weekend we went to our house in the Keys with our friends Mike, Melissa and their daughter Hailey who is Everly’s age. The kids had so much fun together. It’s finally getting easier to take them to the Keys. It’s definitely a lot of work bringing their pack n’ plays but at least we don’t have a bunch of bottles and need highchairs.
It feels like now till New Years we will be so busy. Between the upcoming holidays, trips and birthdays we hardly have any free weekends. Anyone else feel like this time of year is just non-stop activities? I am not complaining because I do love it but it also makes time fly by.
Now I am dying to hear what everyone’s kids are going to be for Halloween!!
If you haven’t already make sure you enter this months GIVEAWAYS! I will have a couple more coming up so keep an eye out for them.

Ashlyn is TWO!

By on October 18, 2015

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHLYN!

You are just the sweetest little thing. Your smile brightens my days and I love you so much.

Your personality is so funny to me. You are a mix of sweetness and stubbornness. You listen so well yet you will do something you aren’t supposed to and if you get caught you walk away like it wasn’t you. It’s so funny.

You are starting to talk more and more. You and Everly have your own language so at times it’s very frustrating to get you to say words that actually make sense to us. Slowly but surely though!

You are a very picky eater. You don’t really like meat, which I am fine with as long as you eat other forms of protein. You love to read books, cuddle and watch movies. I can see you being the kid who is very introspective like your cousin Brianna. You remind me so much of her it’s crazy.
You are obsessed with your Minnies and anything Frozen (books, movie, microphone). You love dressing up and coloring.
You love being outside and playing with sidewalk chalk. I think your favorite thing ever is being in the pool. You see the pool and just point to it and ask over and over “pool?”. You are a total water baby like I was! You learned to swim very early. I think you were about 18 months. You were our earliest swimmer by far.
I can’t wait to see how much you learn this year. I know it’s going to be a big one for talking for you. You are trying to hard. I love you so much my little angel baby!

EAT: Halloween Mummy Dogs + a GIVEAWAY!

By on October 17, 2015

Friday nights I always try to do something fun with the kids. Even if it’s as simple as getting a movie and eating something out of the ordinary to kick off the weekend.

Last week was a long week at work since we were doing testing so I really wanted to just do something that was easy but still felt like we weren’t just sitting around at home. Branden and Ace went to the store and got a movie (only $0.50 from RedBox!), some hot dogs, meatballs and some Pillsbury Crescent Rolls so we could make something fun!

We found this super cute recipe on how to make Mummy Dogs and Mummy Meatballs. It’s really easy and your kids can help you make them. For all the details click HERE. You can also get $1.00 off of 2 Pillsbury Refrigerated Baked Goods Products from October 1st – October 30th.
Everly is what we call our garbage disposal. She eats anything and everything and she eats it fast. I actually looked over at her and didn’t see her food anymore and asked Branden if she dropped it but nope, she ate it that fast. It’s scary, really. She obviously loved these and wanted seconds, ha!
Ashlyn is my pickiest eater so I was surprised she ate them. I think she has only had a hot dog once and she rarely likes meat so it was a shocker that she finished hers and asked for a Mummy Meatball also!

Mummy Dogs and a Mummy Meatball!

Ace had so much fun with these Mummy Dogs. He loved that they had eyes. It was also a good way for him to try mustard since he usually sticks to ketchup. We gave him a fork and he would dip it in the mustard to put eyes or hair on his mummy after he licked it off.

Almost TWO!

By on October 15, 2015

Oh hey there! I have been a bit MIA lately because life has been crazy and my lap top charger finally died on me which meant my lap top was dead until I got a new one in the mail.

We are celebrating Ashlyn’s second birthday on Sunday! We are just hanging with the kids and family since I am doing a joint party for the girls probably end of January, early February. I figured with Christmas in the middle of their birthdays Everly always got the shaft when people asked what she needed. I figured at this point people can either buy for one or both because they wear the same clothes and play with the same toys.

So back to Ashlyn being TWO! I still can’t believe we have reached two years old with her. She is really starting to just look so big to me. It breaks my heart because my little girls are growing up much faster it seems than Ace did. His babyhood seemed to last longer. Time is just flying by.

I still need to find something to get her as a little gift. Ace got her a toy car and I got her a book since she is obsessed with books but I feel like something else for her to open would be good. I still plan to do the donut cake for her like I did with Ace for his birthdays

So if anyone has ideas on what to get a 2 year old share! It doesn’t have to be specific to a girl either. My girls play with Ace’s toys (cars, trains, legos) too. So any suggestions would be amazing!!!!

My Fall Favorites + a GIVEAWAY!

By on October 9, 2015

Fall is one of my most favorite times of year! There are so many things to love about Fall and these are mine!

1. Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I know I am not alone in this one. Who doesn’t love that warm Fall flavor?
2. Pumpkin Patches. Here we don’t have real ones so we head over to a local Farmers Market with my Mommy friends and Ace’s besties and pick out pumpkins for them to paint. We look forward to this every year. Ace has been talking about it pretty much since we left last year.

3. Cool weather. Another thing we don’t have is that true Fall weather. But we do get a nice breeze and clear skies. The humidity goes down and we can stand outside without dripping sweat. It’s perfection.

4. Bangles. Have you seen these amazing bangles from LaCkore Couture? I am obsessed with them and can not get enough of them. They are the perfect accessory for Fall. I need all of them!

5. Chili & Soups! Ok so my friends from anywhere other than Florida always make fun of me for making soups or chili. They say it’s weird to eat it when it isn’t cold but if I waited for it to be cold I would eat it two days out of the year. So I like to break the crock pot out and make some. If I don’t have time and need a quick fix I can always rely on trusty Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup! I mean what doesn’t bring you back to the good old days faster than that? I just love a hot bowl of soup and watching a movie. The girls eat this up like it’s the best thing ever! My favorite though is definitely the Rich & Hearty Clam Chowder. So delicious!!

5. HOCUS POCUS! This is a Fall must watch every.single.year. In fact I bought it this year because last year I missed when it played on TV. Talk about being bummed. Never again will that happen.
So what are some of your Fall Favorites?

What’s in my… Diaper Bag

By on October 7, 2015

As a working Mom of three littles I have multiple bags I use throughout the week. I typically don’t have to go into my diaper bag until the weekend. When the weekends come we are usually on the go and the diaper bag needs to be packed and ready for us to head out the door. Here is what was in my diaper bag when I dumped it out.

1. Of course the number one thing we have in our diaper bags are diapers and wipes, shocker, I know. We have two different brands because Ashlyn is sensitive and Everly isn’t so Ev gets the cheaper brand, sorry girl!

 2. Ace always ends up throwing toy cars in my bag because he has to take them everywhere. This one was randomly in the cup holder. Glad I found it!

3. Another must for my pale kids is sunscreen. I prefer the sticks because it’s easy and we are less likely to get it in their eyes. Everly is the worst at letting us put sunscreen on so this makes it somewhat doable. Ashlyn likes to steal these and rub them all over so that’s super fun too.
4. Since Ashlyn’s hair is wild we keep a comb and some type of headband or clip in there. Branden is really particular about keeping her hair from being crazy because it gets so knotted.

5. Snacks are a must with three kids. I usually keep cheerios, crackers or raisins for the kids and a Perfectly Simple nutrition bar for me and Branden. I am really particular about any kind of snack bars because I have had some that are chalky and these aren’t. They are the perfect on the go snack. My favorite is the oatmeal chocolate chunk. They are the easiest options and don’t take up much space.
If you want to try them out get a $1.00 off coupon HERE
6. Nose & Face wipes are just nice to have in case we have runny noses or messy faces.
7. We have an extra paci hanging out in there in case someone really needs one. They usually don’t use them during the day anymore but it’s definitely a must have just in case we have serious meltdowns.
8. When I actually wear my contacts I have to wear sunglasses. My eyes are so sensitive that I need them! If I forget them I am so miserable and have to squint to block out the sun. I try to stash a pair in each of my bags.
So that’s it! Obviously we throw in some sippy cups, wallet and keys last minute but overall I try to keep the other things in there at all times so I don’t have to pack too much in a rush. It works out well and we rarely forget anything.
So what do you keep in your diaper bag?
Today’s post is sponsored by ZonePerfect, but my love for their Perfectly Simple nutrition bars is an opinion all my own!

Make sure you head over to the giveaways going on now!

Sunday Morning Link Up #3

By on October 4, 2015

Another Sunday Morning and another day to be grateful.

Today we are taking the kids to a Fall event near us. I can’t wait to bring the girls this year. They are so fun and their reactions to things are adorable.

We are meeting up with our friends who have a little girl the same age as Everly and all the girls will be dressed alike. Talk about nerds but we love it.
Who is ready for Halloween? Not me! The girls costumes are going to be Rainbow Brite and Strawberry Shortcake. I am going to put them together so it should be interested. Ace wants to be Captain America so he is set. I got his costume at H&M a couple weeks ago.
I seriously can not wait for Halloween. Our neighborhood is the mack daddy of neighborhoods when it comes to trick or treating. Everyone goes all out and it reminds me of when I was a kid.

And can we talk about these pumpkin patch pictures from last year? I can’t believe how much they have all changed, especially the girls.

Anyone else have any exciting plans this month to celebrate Fall and Halloween? And join the link up! Share with your friends.
