Nights at the Field

By on October 9, 2017

Happy Monday! We had the best weekend. We took the kids to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and it was seriously the best experience. I will have a post up about later this week so I hope you enjoy all the pictures.

Now that Fall is in full swing we have been busy with all the after school activities. This year is really fun because Ace is doing t-ball and my best friend’s daughter is doing softball. They ended up having practices the same nights and around the same time. Since we are all super close and maybe slightly obsessed with each other we ended up going early to watch Brielle practice and they stayed late to watch Ace practice. We are all super into our children feeling supported by each other so any event or activities they do we try to be there for them. It makes it a lot easier now that we don’t live 3.5 hours apart, ha!

The best part about t-ball is Ace loves it. This is his second time doing it, previously he played soccer and lacrosse. He was really little when he did soccer and liked it. Lacrosse he loved at first but it was so intense and complicated. The children who had been on the team the year prior were really good and got most of the attention, which I understood because the games were intense so they wanted their best players in the main action. Ace was always on offense so he did a lot of standing around. Anyway he is really good at baseball and t-ball so it has been a lot of fun for him. He has always loved it, I think because him and Branden love practicing together. It’s a huge difference from him feeling discouraged with lacrosse and being really awesome at t-ball. I do think he should be doing baseball because he’s one of the oldest on the team and can actually hit a ball thrown at him but then I think it is nice that he is for once the older one on the team instead of the youngest and can really build that confidence.

And of course I really love going to the field on these beautiful nights. The weather has been perfection. Since we are in Florida we don’t get super cool Fall weather but it’s been really windy and not humid so I am really loving it.  That is the one thing I love about sports versus the girls dance and gymnastics, being outside. Although if the activities is during the day in the hot sun, no thank you!

So tell me, do your kids do any after school activities or tried any in the past? If so what are their favorites? What did they absolutely hate?

Have a great week everyone! Later this week I will be teaming up with Smile Brilliant for an exciting giveaway so check back then.

EAT: Halloween Mummy Dogs + a GIVEAWAY!

By on October 17, 2015

Friday nights I always try to do something fun with the kids. Even if it’s as simple as getting a movie and eating something out of the ordinary to kick off the weekend.

Last week was a long week at work since we were doing testing so I really wanted to just do something that was easy but still felt like we weren’t just sitting around at home. Branden and Ace went to the store and got a movie (only $0.50 from RedBox!), some hot dogs, meatballs and some Pillsbury Crescent Rolls so we could make something fun!

We found this super cute recipe on how to make Mummy Dogs and Mummy Meatballs. It’s really easy and your kids can help you make them. For all the details click HERE. You can also get $1.00 off of 2 Pillsbury Refrigerated Baked Goods Products from October 1st – October 30th.
Everly is what we call our garbage disposal. She eats anything and everything and she eats it fast. I actually looked over at her and didn’t see her food anymore and asked Branden if she dropped it but nope, she ate it that fast. It’s scary, really. She obviously loved these and wanted seconds, ha!
Ashlyn is my pickiest eater so I was surprised she ate them. I think she has only had a hot dog once and she rarely likes meat so it was a shocker that she finished hers and asked for a Mummy Meatball also!

Mummy Dogs and a Mummy Meatball!

Ace had so much fun with these Mummy Dogs. He loved that they had eyes. It was also a good way for him to try mustard since he usually sticks to ketchup. We gave him a fork and he would dip it in the mustard to put eyes or hair on his mummy after he licked it off.

My Fall Favorites + a GIVEAWAY!

By on October 9, 2015

Fall is one of my most favorite times of year! There are so many things to love about Fall and these are mine!

1. Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I know I am not alone in this one. Who doesn’t love that warm Fall flavor?
2. Pumpkin Patches. Here we don’t have real ones so we head over to a local Farmers Market with my Mommy friends and Ace’s besties and pick out pumpkins for them to paint. We look forward to this every year. Ace has been talking about it pretty much since we left last year.

3. Cool weather. Another thing we don’t have is that true Fall weather. But we do get a nice breeze and clear skies. The humidity goes down and we can stand outside without dripping sweat. It’s perfection.

4. Bangles. Have you seen these amazing bangles from LaCkore Couture? I am obsessed with them and can not get enough of them. They are the perfect accessory for Fall. I need all of them!

5. Chili & Soups! Ok so my friends from anywhere other than Florida always make fun of me for making soups or chili. They say it’s weird to eat it when it isn’t cold but if I waited for it to be cold I would eat it two days out of the year. So I like to break the crock pot out and make some. If I don’t have time and need a quick fix I can always rely on trusty Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup! I mean what doesn’t bring you back to the good old days faster than that? I just love a hot bowl of soup and watching a movie. The girls eat this up like it’s the best thing ever! My favorite though is definitely the Rich & Hearty Clam Chowder. So delicious!!

5. HOCUS POCUS! This is a Fall must watch every.single.year. In fact I bought it this year because last year I missed when it played on TV. Talk about being bummed. Never again will that happen.
So what are some of your Fall Favorites?
